Biography
Both guys are long time djs and producers with releases on various labels since early 00’s and also have hosted radio shows and promoted events in their hometown Helsinki. Project started in 2014 as a one track collab, but soon spawned to a 4 track debut EP that was released on Machinist Music in 2015. Their sound is a combination of their influences. It's constantly changing but at the moment you could describe it as a blend of deeper drum'n'bass, hypnotic techno, smoky dub, shoegaze influenced textures spiced with tight percussions, heavy bass and occasionally dirty breakbeats. Out Of Fuel have released music on labels such as Translation Recordings, Med School, Ronin Ordinance and Alphacut, and their music has received dj support from the likes of Homemade Weapons, J:Kenzo, London Elektricity, Abstract Elements, Djinn, Reso, Fanu and Physics. They also recently started a project called HARMAA with fellow music enthusiasts. They started with underground events fusing drum & bass and techno, have released series of dj mixes combined with visuals, and now also host a monthly HARMAA radio show on Helsinki based community radio IDA HELSINKI.
